Living in the Power of God's Forgiveness

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:9‭-‬10 (KJV)

God's forgiveness is rich in Grace, Mercy and His love for us. The depth of His forgiveness reaches back over 1,900 years and echoes in the hearts of Believers for centuries.

His forgiveness allows us to accept criticism, honest evaluation of unacceptable behaviors and the heart to change. Accepting criticism is probably one of the most difficult things to do for many of us. What hinders most from achieving the blessing of God's full forgiveness is self-centeredness and a closed heart. These two behaviors keep many from discovering the power of forgiveness in one’s daily walk and from experiencing full deliverance.

Stay with me, the forgiveness that Jesus offers frees me from the spiritual clutter and shame that can prohibit me from clearly 'SEE' Jesus. To receive His love, Grace and Mercy. To live freely from guilt. To not be angry with others when truth is being shared that requires me to change.

We celebrated the resurrection of Jesus yesterday so now it's our turn to walk in the power of His resurrection daily. It starts with our hearts and our minds. Let's live in His power by living in the power of His forgiveness. Amen!

Let's pray. Heavenly Father help my heart to soften so I can recieve Your forgiveness and to forgive myself. May I elect not to live another day feeling guilty. Amen.
